To celebrate Rickenbacker’s 90th Anniversary in 2021 they designed this ultra cool never before issued limited-edition semi-hollow bass with a vintage style 360 body and a traditional 4003 bass neck with 24 frets, 30.5 inch short scale and specs like: double-bound body with checkerboard binding, two on the side tuners, vintage nameplate, vintage toaster pickups, vintage knobs, vintage pickguard cut, bound cat’s eye F-hole and more! Comes with an official Vintage Style Rickenbacker Deluxe Hardshell Case.
The guitar features a deluxe thinline semi-hollow body crafted from maple with a three-piece maple neck complete with a skunk stripe. Its rosewood fretboard is adorned with “crushed pearl” triangle inlays while white checkered binding traces the body’s edges – one has to find 1972 or before 4001 vintage bass to find crushed pearl inlays these days.
For electronics, the 4005XC has a pair of vintage “toasters” with stereo output jacks. Other features include a 30.5-inch scale, a Schaller bridge, and a vintage reissue case including its factory case candies. This bass is brand new.
