F Bass BN6 Transparent White [Used]

Description

The BN series is the product of 40+ years of F Bass evolution. While it has roots stemming from the original Jazz Bass, it has slowly morphed into our signature sound, feel, and look. The BN series’ voice leans heavily on the wood choices and design of the instrument itself, with the electronics designed to simply enhance those attributes, rather than colour them. The F Bass pickups and preamp are natural & transparent though offer the flexibility of a modern active bass. The result is a big yet controlled bottom end, a rich punchy midrange, and a high end that is articulate yet sweet. F Bass often asked how  BN series differs from our VF series—the BN is a bigger yet more refined and “polite” tone that can still get plenty aggressive when asked.

It is worthwhile to mention that F Bass basses have a tone knob that works in both active and passive mode.  We are not sure why this wiring is not adopted with more basses (Alleva Coppolo, Sadowsky, Le Fay, F Bass, Freedom Custom Guitar Research basses have this same feature, to our knowledge, and perhaps there are more out there), as it adds versatility to the tone by many miles.  Many other basses have passive mode without a tone control; and for those that does have a tone control knob, it doesn’t work in active mode.  We understand that treble-cut can be regarded as tone roll off, but really, it’s not the same.

This bass is used and it is in Mint condition. There are a few minor signs of usage such as cleaning marks. There are no obvious wear around the neck and fingerboard, and the frets are 90%. The electronics are working normally; all knobs have signs of usage but all functional. The bridge’s finish remains intact and the truss rod is functioning in both directions.
