This Gibson SG ’61 Custom model is a reissue of the classic ’61 SG/Les Paul guitar, which was known for its unique blend of features from both the SG and Les Paul models. The ’61 SG/Les Paul Reissue retains the iconic double-cutaway body shape of the SG, which offers excellent upper fret access and a comfortable playing experience. The body is crafted from mahogany, known for its warm and rich tonal characteristics. The neck of this guitar is also made from mahogany as well, providing a solid and resonant foundation for the instrument. It features a slim-taper profile, which allows for fast and comfortable playing, making it suitable for various playing styles.
In terms of electronics, the ’61 SG/Les Paul Reissue comes equipped with a three of humbucking pickups. These pickups deliver a powerful and versatile tone, with a well-balanced output and a characteristic warmth.
The guitar is in Very Good condition, with signs of use such as cleaning fine line marks, dullness of original finish, some oxidisation of hardware parts (bridge, PU covers). Pots had been replaced with Gibson original pots at some point. They are smooth to turn and without scratchy noise. Frets are 80% tall; truss rod works as it should. The guitar comes with its original deluxe hardshell case, warranty card.
