Patrick James Eggle Guitars is founded in the United Kingdom in 1994, and Patrick has produced some extremely high quality instruments that are inspired by different eras of guitar designs ever since with his team of luthiers. Their guitars are sought after by famous artists in the world such as Toni Iommi, Albert Lee and Rory Gallagher, and they have received prestigious awards such as the rare 10/10 rating and 2022 Guitar of the Year Prestige Electrics Category from Guitarist magazine for their Macon, and 10/10 rating for the 96 model in 2017.
The Macon Special in Candy Apple Red is another beautiful Single Cut style guitar that we have in stock here at Bella Romeo Music. It features a maple top and mahogany body construction, which the maple gives a fast attack and bright sounds, while the mahogany balances it with some warmth. The nitro on the top is heat aged and it gives the guitar some beautiful checking. It comes with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and roasted maple neck, with this combination bringing both the warmth and brightness, while the roasting process of the maple neck allows the guitar to be more stable. For electronics, it is equipped a Mojo Pickups Tron Humbucker in the bridge and a Staples P-90 pickup in the neck position, which the Humbucker and P-90 combination brings a lot of versatility and great tones.
