Although Fender is mostly known for manufacturing great quality guitars in the US, Fender also has Japanese made instruments since 1982, and they have been known for making guitars that can rival the quality of US-made instruments. The Fender Japan ST-68 TX shows exactly that, and it has a more affordable price tag than the US counterpart. It features an alder body construction, which is the classic Fender tonewood of choice and it gives a well-rounded tonal profile. It has a 21-fret maple fretboard and neck, which has a bright tone and the slick finish allows for smooth playing. For electronics, it is equipped with US-made Texas Special single coil pickup that has a meaty mid-range response, while has tight lows and crispy high-end.
This guitar is used and it is in very good condition. There are no dings and some light scratches near the pickguard on the body top, but there are some visible sractches on the back of the body. There are some scratches and a small nick on the bottom of the sides. There are a slight tint on the finish around the neck pocket area. There is a small nick on the top of the headstock. The fretboard and neck are in good condition, and there are no dings and scratches on the neck. Overall the guitar is very clean. There are 80% of the frets remaining, which have plenty of life.
