Patrick James Eggle Guitars is founded in the United Kingdom in 1994, and Patrick has produced some extremely high quality instruments that are inspired by different eras of guitar designs ever since with his team of luthiers. Their guitars are sought after by famous artists in the world such as Toni Iommi, Albert Lee and Rory Gallagher, and they have received prestigious awards such as the rare 10/10 rating and 2022 Guitar of the Year Prestige Electrics Category from Guitarist magazine for their Macon, and 10/10 rating for the 96 model in 2017.
The Oz-t Vintage in Butterscotch is Patrick James Eggle’s take on the “T” style guitar that guitarists love over the decades. It features a 2-piece body wood construction, which has an incredibly beautiful natural look and balanced tones. The nitro lacquer is heat aged and it provided some beautiful checking on the finish. It comes with a 22-fret 3A roasted maple fingerboard and neck, which the maple gives the guitar a fast attack and snappy sound, while the roasting process allows the guitar to be more resilient to climate changes and also improves the tone of the guitar. For electronics, it comes with a Cream T Tele Pickup in the bridge and Cream T Bangers and Mash Humbucker in the neck position, which are also made in the UK. The Bangers and mash is a humbucker with two telecaster pickups, which also has some added PAF frequencies, and the Tele Pickup in the bridge brings the classic twang.
