Description
Shinichi Ubukata is a very respected guitarist in Japan, and he is known for his work with the legendary rock band Ellegarden. For his signature guitar, he and Epiphone teamed up and they created the Epiphone ES-355 Shinichi Ubukata that we have here at Bella Romeo. It features a archtop body type and mahogany wood, which has a warm tonal character. It features a 22 fret ebony fretboard with a ’50s rounded shape that has a bright tone and plays superbly. For electronics, it comes with two Gibson ’57 Classic Humbuckers that have a warm tone with a balanced response.
This guitar is used and it is in mint- condition. It is high gloss black, so our apologies for the reflections showing up in the photos – we do need more lighting control in our showroom for photographing guitars. The top, sides and back of the body are in perfect condition as there are no nicks and scratches. There are two very light scratches on the top edge of the headstock. There are some cleaning marks on the pickguard and the back of the body. The fretboard and neck are in great condition as well, and there is only a tiny nick on the neck and no scratches. The frets are almost brand new and have lots of life. The electronics and hardware are working properly with no issues, and the chrome finish remains intact. The truss rod functions normally with margin in both directions. This guitar comes with a certificate of authenticity, inspection papers and an original deluxe hardshell case.
