Description
Gary Willis is a true legend in the jazz fusion community, and he is most known for being the co-founder of Tribal Tech and playing with famous jazz musicians such as Allan Holdsworth and Wayne Shorter. Willis is also known for his affiliation with Ibanez since the start of his career, and the Ibanez GWB1005 Gary Willis Signature fretless 5-string bass that we have here at Bella Romeo showcases the collaboration and innovation between Ibanez and Willis. It features a swamp ash body construction and the Willis ramp, which the swamp ash brings a balanced tonal profile and the Willis ramp is a detachable finger ramp that functions as a thumb rest while plucking the low B string and gives improved tones and articulation to your playing. It features a fretless ebony fretboard and a 3-piece maple neck, which has a consistent and bright tone and the fretboard has fret line markers which ensures intonation. For electronics, it is equipped with the Bartolini GWB humbucking pickup and Bartolini NTBT preamp, which are capable of wide range of genres from jazz to heavy metal and the on board EQ allows for precise tonal adjustments.
This bass is used and it is in mint condition. The body, neck and fretboard are in perfect condition with no nicks and scratches. The headstock is also free from imperfections. The electronics are working normally, and the truss rod functions in both direction. This bass comes with an original hard case and toolkit.
