Freedom Custom Guitar Research are based in Japan, and they make the highest quality of instruments. Their craftsman are passionate about their products and they focus on bringing quality sound, feel, looks and consistency to their instrument, which those philosophy are shown in the Rhino 5ST that we currently have in stock. This bass features a maple top and 2-piece alder body wood construction, which the maple gives the bass a stunning look and some snap, while the alder provides some balance. One of the unique features of this bass is the patented ARIMIZO and one point joint, which gives the bass more control to the tone. The bolt of the joint can be tightened or loosened, and it can vary from being more snappy and bright to a warmer sound with sweet overtones. This gives the bass unrivalled versatility and it can certainly handle any types of genres and tones. It features a 21 fret Indian rosewood fingerboard and a maple neck, which the rosewood gives the bass a luxurious look, feel and warmth while the maple balances it with some brightness. For electronics, it is equipped with 2 FCGR original Jazz Bass style pickups and preamp, and they provide the classic jazz bass sound profile while the preamp system provides more flexibility and power.
It is worthwhile to mention that Freedom C.G.R.’s basses have a tone knob that works in both active and passive mode. We are not sure why this wiring is not adopted with more basses (Alleva Coppolo, Fodera, Roscoe, Le Fay, F Bass, Freedom C.G.R., Sadowsky basses have this same feature, to our knowledge, and perhaps there are more out there), as it adds versatility to the tone by many miles. Many other basses have passive mode without a tone control; and for those that does have a tone control knob, it doesn’t work in active mode. We understand that treble-cut can be regarded as tone roll off, but really, it’s not the same.
This bass is used and it is in mint condition. There are some light cleaning marks and scratches on the top of back of the body, due to normal usage. The protective plastic film on the electronics plate is still intact. The neck and fingerboard are in great condition with no scratches or dings. The frets are virtually new. The headstock is also in great condition. The chrome finish on the hardwares remain intact, The electronics are working normally and the truss rod functions in both directions. In rare occasions, the item may be sold out first via other channels, in which case we regrettably will need to prioritise the order fulfilment by the time stamp of the order being placed on a first-come-first-sold basis.

Once we received your order, we will review the order to check (1) if there are any combined shipping opportunity, (2) stock is not sold elsewhere, and (3) accuracy of all information about your order. We will send you an updated invoice if there are any changes for your agreement. Once everything is in good order, we will charge your credit card.
