The Music Man StingRay 5 that we have here at Bella Romeo is a 30th Anniversary celebration of the Sting Ray model, which was first introduced back in 1987, and it is still widely regarded as one of the most innovative basses in the world. It features an ash body construction, which gives a well-balanced tone to the bass. It has a 22-fret roasted maple fretboard and neck, which the roasted maple gives a snappy attack and bright tonal character, and the roasting process makes the neck more durable and resilient to changes in temperature and climate. For electronics, it is equipped with the special anniversary humbucking pickup with ceramic magnet and pickup cover, and an active pre-amp with 3-band EQ circuit which allows the bass to have three different sounds with one pickup.
This bass is used and it is in Exc+ condition. There are no nicks on the top and the body, and there are some light pick sractches on the pickguard. There are a few minor nicks and scratches on the sides and the back of the body. There are no imperfections on the neck and fretboard, and the frets are virtually new. There are a few minor nicks on top of the headstock. The electronics are working normally, the chrome finish are mostly intact except the finish on the tuners which have worn off a little bit. The truss rod functions in both directions. This bass comes with an original hard case. All specifications are listed in the Additional Information tab above.
